They’ve obviously done some work on what was a derelict motel. They’ve painted, put down laminate flooring, and installed new beds and furniture. However, the rooms smell. The first room smelled heavily of smoke so I requested a different room. The second room smelled musty but I didn’t want to try for a third room. I discovered the tv didn’t work nor did most of the lights so I decided to just shower and go to bed. The shower stall is tiny and only has a shower curtain to contain water. Very unusually for a motel, this one has no water saving faucets which is great as a consumer but bad for their water bill. The force of the water from the shower head in such a tiny space meant that when I opened the curtain after my shower, there was water on the floor. I wish these proprietors the best but they need to put a lot more money into renovations to bring the property up to a minimum standard.

At first i thought eh hotel just needed a good cleaning. OnAfter a few more minutesd and walking down the hall to our room I realized this hotel needas a major upgrade, if not torn down and built from the grounf up. The carpet on the third floor had major stains and dirt and oil all over the hallway. The carpet had bleach stains splatterd wvertwhere. Upon checking the other floors, they were in the same condition. The bed was lumpy, Shower had dirt and cracked tile and mortar. If we had not been so wipped out from our drive, and if I felt we could book another hotel (it was July 5th) I would have requested a full refund and gone to another hotel. I used an expedia one key cash credit for this booking and it was a major disapointment and waste of my credit. I wasn't looking for a 4 or 5 star hotel, it was for one night in Roswell on the way to Colorado. But I certainly didn't expect a one star property.

The room was clean with comfortable beds. Perfect for a one night stop on the way to Pie Town
